Dear Janice,

I don't update this blog anymore. And I doubt that anyone would stumble on this site. Except occassional stalkers but I have none of those. *Laughs* Lucky me. Really I don't. I don't want to have one either. I don't think I've ever had one. *thinks back* NOPE. I'm pretty sure.

Do you keep a journal? An actual journal, something that you write down on paper, something that you don't show to the world, something you keep for years and years to come. I have had written about 3 journals already. I think. I don't write on it everyday only when I remember to write on it. Usually when I'm alone enjoying food. I usually write when I'm happy or when I feel fine. I'm not a serious person. i take really serious things seriously and everything else in my life I take them as I usually do with a smile on my face and a knife at hand. Well. Not all the time. Anyway. I usually just write summaries of my life.

I haven't read my journals for a very long time now. I'm usually scared of what I'd read. Because I'm crazy. And what I write down usually are crazy things that crazy people do.

Dear Janice,

BOO BOO BOO

The winner of The Amazing Race 6 is Freddy (Freddie?) and Kendra. Erm... I wish Kris and John won. They are my favorite team EVER. DAMN THAT STUPID TRAIN!!! ERRR!!! It should have been them. I just love Kris and John how laid back and cool and calm and loving and supportive they are of each other. I love the fact that they are so open minded about the world and extremely positive. Freddy is blinded by Kendra and Kendra is just full of it. Alam mo kuing ganyan ka masmabuti pang wag ka na lang lumabas ng bahay. I can't believe it! "I hate this blah blah blah" *Sigh* Some people are just so ... ARGH!!! I'm just happy Hellboy and girlfriend didn't win. I'd be really pissed if they did. I feel really bad for Hayden and Aaron too. (Aaron proposed!) I wish they had a chance. Damn that STUPID driver!!!! I'd be happier if Hayden and Aaron won instead of Freddy and Kendra. Or if Lena and Kristy won instead of Freddie and Kendra, or Gus and Hera or, Don and Mary Jean... But I'd be REALLY happy if Kris and John won. My favorite teams always end up at second place... hmmm... Should stop cheering next time.

The Amazing Race 7 will have Survivor All Star winner Boston-Fatty-My-Tongue-Is-Too-Large-For-My-Mouth-That-Is-Why-I-Sound-Like-This Rob and Amber. I'm really getting sick of these two. I have had enough of them in the All-Stars they should die somewhere in between the detours please. Or they get an insane cab driver that will drown them in the Nile River or bury them somewhere in Greece. Don't let them win. Break their legs PLEASE. It's worth more than the million dollars. I wish Colin and Christie was in this race so Colin can have a row with Boston-Fatty-Rob and beat the crap out of him. That would be fun.

Dear Janice,

I skipped school *insert party music* today. It's ok to skip school. I don't have a lecture today. My teacher actually came up to me yesterday and said. "Meron kang Friday sickness noh. Kaya hindi kita makikita bukas." (You have Friday sickness, thats why I won't see you tomorrow). I said "Opo. Magkakasakit ako bukas." (Yes, I'll be sick tomorrow.) I've been a very good student these pass two weeks. I want a break.

So here I am, at home, washing my jeans and enjoying a movie. The movie is Turn Left, Turn Right . It was based on the illustrated book by Jimmy Liao. (Now I want the illustrated book). I would have to say that it was a nice movie. It's a movie I'd actually recommend. *Ehem* I reccomend you watch Turn Left, Turn Right on a lazy day when you just feel like you want to watch a nice movie. The imagery was great, the dialogue wasn't puke-worthy, the characters had dimensions , the events were both sweet and frustrating. Watch it. The lead male Takeshi Kaneshiro is actually familiar to me because he was also the lead male in the movie House of Flying Daggers. I hope I'm right. He was the one making out with Zhang Ziyi. A scene in Turn Left, Turn Right reminded me of Love Actually. When Colin Firth's work was blown by the wind into this pond. Remember? It also happened here. (Fate must like using the wind). I'll stop here I don't want to ruin it for you. It really is just a nice movie. Watch it. Its a story about destiny, how near it could be, and what it's like to find THE someone. The ending of the movie is a little how should i say this... DIFFERENT. NOT SOMETHING YOU'D THINK OF. Personally I was just expecting that they'd both die. BUT the author isn't as morbid as me. Watch it. Watch it. Turn Left Turn Right. Better yet. Friends. I'll make you a copy. Just contact me if you want one, ok? Janice I'll be send a copy for you when I return your Love Actually DVD. Ow yeah! WATCH LOVE ACTUALLY. WATCH IT. WAAAAAATCH IT. WATCH IT. YOU NEED TO SEE IT. It's a movie like no other. Even guys would enjoy it. And watch Before Sunset . It's nice even if you haven't seen Before Sunrise yet. When you get your hands on it Please do watch it.
Maganda Panoorin nyo.

Now I'm just wondering what Hyde's new movie would be like. I'm sure it wouldn't change the fact that I absolutely adore him. I adored him in Moonchild. Ang gwapo nya doon grabe. Saka si Gackt. ANG GWAPO. Even my older sister found the movie was entertaining. She was just puzzled why Gackt (the magnum that he is) would have the hots for the actress she calls Matet. Still she appreciates Gackt now, the musician not so much as an actor. When ever we get to talk about Moonchild she'd mimic Hyde's smile and Gackt's moves. It's a miracle she hasn't broken her back yet.

Dear Janice,

IT'S MY GUILTY PLEASURE!!!

I'm a real fan of horror-supernatural-weird-ghostly-other-worldly-type entertainment. That is why I adore such games as Silent Hill, Biohazard, Clock Tower, and movies like The Ring, Ring 0, Sleepy Hollow, Blaire Witch Project, Stir of Echoes, etc. So when a new TV series that had a similar feel to it was going to be shown... I had to watch. Have you ever seen Chito Rono's TV series SPIRITS in ABS CBN?
It's the TV series about a group of kids with "special powers" (third eye, firestarter, mind reader, etc.). It's the show after TV Patrol. Please be familiar with it. Well, I'm going to admit it's my guilty pleasure. It is just so good. It's not corny, (no ok minimal baduy-Balagtas-will-probably-kill-me-if-he-wasn't-already-dead-lines, type of lines. The teeny type scenes aren't puke worthy; thanks to good acting (and the actors are cute lets give them that they fit the roles perfectly), and the scary-creepy-freaky scenes are scary-creepy-freaky; thanks to their wicked imagination)
none of the characters are annoying, (well there is an exception, but he isn't THAT annoying now, each one has their won dilemma, each one is as real as the person sitting next to you, no pretentions at all, thank God)
the creepy factor is so close to our culture, (I just LOVE the fact that Lotlot De Leon's character is a dead-huingry-for-revenge-mangkukulam! And she wants to be rised from the dead with the help of her son, Kawawa naman si Llyod. The elementals, the ghost, the "other world". So much fun!)
and it has this dark side to it. Not just in a sense that they were dealing with the unknown, it also reflects the dark side of people, and what they can or are willing to do. (There was this episode in the series where Lotlot De Leon's character was talking to her son "Kuya Llyod" (at home we call him Kuya Llyod) and she was asking if he was really willing to help her with her resurrection. If he was willing to make sacrifices, like his school, his friends. There was also this episode where in all of them were dead and Kuya Llyod killed them all. And I also found it very creepy to have your dead mom bother you about her problem about being dead. Fucked up mom.)

I also like the pace. Each episode will alsways keep you guessing because you have NO idea what will happen next. It's something very unfamiliar to the viewer so you can't help but watch the next episode because you just NEED to know what will happen.
I also love the theme song, Rivermaya's You'll Be Safe Here It is such a good song.

I just love the fact they are showing something like that on primetime TV. It's better than every freaking series that they have ever come up with. If ever I see Chito Rono I'm going to walk up to him, I'm going to smile and say "You rock!"

Yeah, it is my guilty pleasure. I'm not that shy about it. It's a good series. Something I haven't seen in years.

Dear Janice,

Happy New Year! I know. I know.

The winner of The Three Stupid Guesses Game is… wait lets give the answers first. Here they are!

Item number one:
_
Pins. It’s a close up picture of pinheads that I use for sewing. It does look like pencils and pearls. Tricky isn’t it?

Item number two:
__
Glow sticks. To be more precise: My sister twirling glow sticks in the dark. This is a very tricky one. My younger sister Irose helped me with this one.
_
Actually it was her idea. If it was hard… Blame her. It would have been cool if I had glow in the dark drag queen eyelashes.

Item number three:
_
The under part of my knee folded and pictured up close. Try it. It does look like a butt. Hahahahahaha. My older sister taught me how to do it. So we are CLEAR. That is NOT my ASS.

As you’ve guessed; nobody won. I know that sucks. But I am giving a consolation prize to one person who guessed at least two out of the three items correctly. Congratulations K! I’ll be giving you my SURPRISE gift through my sister. The real prize is a Magic Love Ball. Not really a million bucks but it is fun to have.

Everyone thank you so much for joining. I hope you had fun!!! Your guesses were really cool and very much appreciated. Thank you!

Happy New Year! See you soon!

Dear Janice
version 1
Hey, is this your real name? How come it doesn't sound Japanese and I have to write it in katakana?
Okay, sorry for the inquisition. I've always been curious ever since I first read your column. Anyway, I'm a teacher in this school for boys and I like one of my students and I think he likes me back. The problem is someone else of higher position than me likes him also and this someone is determined to prevent me from getting to this boy at all costs. She even had me transferred to the sister school for girls across the street to keep me away from him. There's really nothing I can do since, technically speaking, she's one of my bosses. In any case, I don't want to lose out on her because I love the boy and that other woman is a hag. I could seriously use your help here.
